CODE OF ETHICS

Greensong Code of Ethics is rooted in the interconnectedness of all life and the wisdom that emerges through relationships with our Earth, community, inner landscape, and ancestral knowledge.

The Permaculture principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share provide a structure for our Code of Ethics:

Earth Care:

We prioritise the well-being of our planet and beings by respecting natural limits and designing in harmony with ecological processes by deepening connections with Nature through embodied, relational experiences, remembering our role as reciprocal, listening, tending, and belonging within the web of life.

People Care

We nurture human dignity, well-being, and resilience by creating safe, inclusive spaces for people to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the more-than-human world, and by recognising systemic injustice and the need for healing across communities.

Fair Share

We believe resources and opportunities must be shared equitably by redistributing time, knowledge, wealth, and energy in ways that foster regeneration and justice, and by advocating for systems that benefit both current and future generations.

Greensong Core Values:

Humility

We recognise that we don’t have all the answers.

We listen deeply to the land, the community, and those with lived experience.

We collaborate across disciplines and cultures, learning continuously.

Commitment

We are dedicated to the transition toward a regenerative, life-sustaining culture.

This means challenging extractive systems and reimagining human presence on Earth as respectful and reciprocal relationships.

Integrity

We are guided by both science and story.

We integrate ecological, biophychosocial and cultural knowledge.

We remain open to new insights, grounded in ethical practice.

Gratitude

We honour the wisdom of First Nations peoples, ancient traditions, and Nature.

We commit to learning from Indigenous people, elders, and from Country and our Earth.

Reciprocity

We work in collaborative partnerships rather than extractive.

We invest in community initiatives, volunteer time, share resources, and foster relationships.

We stand for a future rooted in love, not dominance.

Inclusion

We value diverse voices and life experiences.

We actively aim to dismantle barriers to participation.

Compassion

We act from the heart. We meet pain with care, fear with presence, and grief with shared holding.

Justice and Equity

We honour and welcome all.

We aim to create spaces that are safe, respectful, and free from discrimination.

We challenge systems that marginalise and divide.
